The Middle East War Has Largely Discredited the Myth of U.S. Military Power

Jeffrey Sachs, a professor at Columbia University, announced that field data from Iran contradicts Washington's claims and indicates a shift in the balance of power.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Jeffrey Sachs, a professor at Columbia University, has announced that the evidence on the battlefield contradicts the narratives put forward by American officials.

In a media interview, he emphasized that the behavior of the U.S. government, particularly during Donald Trump's presidency, has been marked by instability and an unpredictable approach.

This American academic added, "It's the very unpredictability of the United States government that is embodied in Mr. Trump's behavior. He has shocked the world; he has shocked most Americans. No one can really explain the recklessness, the lawlessness, and the cruelty of the United States' actions and Trump's rhetoric. His statement about 'taking Iran back to the Stone Age,' in my view, shocked everyone."

Sachs also, referring to field developments in the region, stated that the long-held perception of America's unchallenged military dominance is weakening. He added that this dominance has always been based on the belief that America has absolute superiority on the battlefield, but existing realities have challenged this claim.

Sachs emphasized that defensive capability against Iranian missile attacks has faced limitations, and in some areas, including the Persian Gulf, this capability has been assessed as very weak.

According to this analyst, this very issue has caused regional developments to be followed with astonishment and close attention by the world.
